Every owner of a bong knows, that it is crucial to keep your bong clean and tidy if you want to receive the best hit. But every one of us know, that this is practically impossible. We will either forget to clean it, there is at least a million reasons not to do it after we are smoking, like: “I really don’t feel like cleaning now”, “oh I can’t clean it now, Family guy is on!” or “I just started my Netflix ;), I will miss the opening scene.” and so on. We remember we should clean our bong just before we want to use it and then we don’t have time to clean it, because we want to use it. This are just one of many problems we have with cleaning duties, so I won’t tell you to clean your bong regularly, because it’s no use 🙂
But still, from time to time, you should remember to clean your bong. I think the easiest way to remember to do it is when cleaning the dishes or when you are preparing your morning coffee. The most creative and time saving bong-cleaning routine I heard of is cleaning it under the shower (that I hope you don’t forget to do) 🙂 Well you do have to feel comfortable enough to be naked in front of your bong, maybe being baked will help. You see what I did there? 😉
When we were developing Byba we thought about problems you are having in order to clean your bong and tried to minimize them. First of all, with Byba there is no main body part to clean, because you just unscrew it from a bottle and wash the bottle or throw it away. Make sure to throw into a recyclable bin. Take care of our environment so there will be more space for our bellowed flower to grow. Rinse the aluminium Byba under the hot tap water and rub it a bit with your hand or cleaning wipe especially in the chamber and screw section. The holes in Byba are specifically designed to prevent accumulation of resin and ashes, to minimize the frequency of cleaning. Over some time, the holes would get dirty nonetheless and you should clean them. I recommend the ear sticks or, you can unfold the paperclip, roll a paper towel around the unfolded clip and create a cleaning tool that would clean the holes like Mr. Muscle removes elbow grease.
And here we come to the hoses. They tend to get dirty because of the nature of the surface of medical grade silicon which we used in making them. Rinse them under the hot tap water and then prepare a “cleaning bath”. If you really hadn’t clean them in a long time, you will probably need the cleaning tool (described above) or ear sticks to remove the stains which will accumulate at the ends. Back to the bath. Fill your favourite dish with enough water that the hoses will be completely sunk in the shallow water. Add some baking soda (depends on how much water you put in, but 1 teaspoon should be enough) and mix it with water. Leave the hoses in the cleaning solution for few hours and then rinse the hoses under the hot tap water again. If the stains are still there, you can try adding some vinegar or alcohol in the dish and again leave the hoses sunk in.
Those were some tips on how to keep your Byba clean and prepared at all times. If you really don’t like cleaning and you just know you will forget to put hoses in the bath, don’t worry, we thought about that – you can always order Spare parts package, which contains 4 additional hoses and 2 meshes 😉 Don’t forget to keep your parts clean and stay tuned, because’ next week we are traveling to Japan 🙂
